Should I Book a Video or Phone Appointment?

We offer two tax appointment formats. Here’s how to choose the best one for you.

Appointment Formats

Brass Taxes offers two types of appointments to get your taxes done. They are the same price and include the same level of care, just with slightly different flavors to match our clients’ needs.

Option 1: One-Hour Video Appointment

Our video appointments are a face-to-face conversation with a tax advisor on Google Meet. This format is great for clients with lots of questions about business expenses, retirement planning, estimated taxes, back taxes, major life changes, or complex tax situations.

Video appointments are required for new clients (so we can get to know you) and clients living outside the U.S. (so we have plenty of time to talk through all the details).

Option 2: Call Me When You Need Me

“Call me” appointments work well for returning clients with straightforward returns who want to get their taxes done efficiently and don’t have many questions. Your advisor will call you at the number you provided sometime in the one-hour window that you selected. Expect to talk for 25-35 minutes, although these calls can take less or more time depending on your specific situation.

Next Steps

When you're ready to get started, you can do it through your Brass Taxes account! Here is a quick guide: How do I get started?

Once you’ve selected your appointment, you will be prompted to pay a $50 deposit with a credit or debit card. This amount will be applied to the total cost of your return.

If you don’t need taxes filed, but want to meet with one of our advisors, we offer paid one-time consultations. Learn more about those here: Consultations at Brass Taxes.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can do so through your Brass Taxes account, directly through the Google Calendar event, or by emailing info@brasstaxes.com.

If the appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 5 days' notice, the deposit will be forfeited.
